Uniform

IQRA College require students to maintain a high standard of dress and grooming so as to present an appropriate image of the College to the broader community and to each other.

IQRA College wishes to be a SunSmart school and wearing of the school hat is compulsory during Terms 1 & 4.

Uniform:

  • Wear the correct IQRA College uniform.
  • Be Sun Smart — Hats must be worn in Terms 1 & 4 (and encouraged in Terms 2 & 3).
  • Nail polish, make up, glitter/sparkles are not permitted.
  • No jewellery to be worn EXCEPT watches.
  • Coloured message bands are not permitted.
  • Coloured hair gel and coloured streaks in hair are NOT permitted and hair gel needs to be kept to a minimum.
  • Socks or inner long pants must be black
  • Visible temporary tattoos are not permitted.
  • Hair should be neat and tidy in a style appropriate for school.

Boys:

  • White polo shirts with logo (short and long sleeve available)
  • Sports jacket with logo & pants (*sports pant only to be worn on P.E. days)
  • Charcoal Pants
  • Aqua Winter Jumper with logo
  • Navy wide brim hat with logo
  • School bag with logo
  • Shoes: Black Shoes
  • Socks: Black & White Only

Primary School Boys2

Girls:

  • Aqua Pinafore 
  • Aqua Winter Jumper with logo
  • White polo shirt (long sleeve)
  • White polo shirt (short sleeve) - only for grades Rec, 1, 2 & 3
  • White hijab
  • Navy wide brim hat with logo
  • Sports jacket with logo & pants (*sports pant only to be worn on P.E. days)
  • School bag with logo
  • Shoes: Black leather formal or sports shoes with no logos
  • Socks: Black & White Only

Additional clothing under and over T-shirts, scarves and beanies, that is not in school colours (white, teal or black), is not suitable and should not be worn.

Hair

Students are responsible for maintaining their hair within the College guidelines. This responsibility does not lie with the College. Students who choose to ignore the College guidelines will be asked to rectify the situation as a matter of urgency and will receive a consequence.

Please note that final decisions regarding the appropriateness of a student’s hair will be at the discretion of the Head of Religion and Principal.

In case of breach of the above regulations, the following consequences will be observed: 

1st offence

  • Parents will be informed of the offence. Expected to rectify the situation by the next school day.

2nd offence

  • Parents will be contacted to collect the student and have the situation rectified immediately.
  • Student to write a reflection and action plan.
  • The student will not be permitted to return to school until uniform and hair meets College guidelines.

3rd offence

  • Parents advised by letter stating that student will not be allowed to return until uniform and hair meets College guideline.
  •  Student and parent sign a contract

Repeat offences

  • A student will not be allowed to enter the premise until uniform and hair meets College guideline. May be subject to suspension
