IQRA College is seeking to appoint an outstanding IT manager.

The position of IT Manager at IQRA College involves leading and overseeing the organization's IT operations, infrastructure, and technology solutions. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing a number of IT staff, implementing IT policies and procedures, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the school's technology systems. You will collaborate with different operational departments and the teaching departments to align IT strategies with the strategic goals and vision of the school.

Tasks 

  • Lead and manage the IT team in delivering positive outcomes to school’s operations.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the school's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure data protection and information security.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and develop IT solutions that support the school’s objectives.
  • Monitor IT performance, conduct regular audits, and optimize IT systems and processes for efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage IT budgets, expenditures, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT management, and proactively recommend innovative approaches.
  • Provide IT support and troubleshooting assistance to relevant stakeholders and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, IT governance standards, and industry certifications.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical IT systems and data.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees and certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, with a strong track record of managing IT operations and teams.
  • Past experience in managing Microsoft Azure environment
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network management.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the IT team towards success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify IT issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with IT budget management, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in IT project management methodologies and tools to oversee IT projects and initiative
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking to align IT strategies with overall business goals.

Lines of Communication

  • The IT Manager reports to the Principal. The role collaborates closely with the school’s leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position with standard working hours, Monday to Friday.
